A storm is coming and everyone is on the run
Hurricane Sandy isn't funny no ones having fun
The winds are so strong they make the trees look so weak
When they fall to the ground you hear women shriek
The night night can not get any worse i think I'm going to die
Just then the power goes out and i want to start to cry
I have homework to do but my powers out
This homework has to get done without a doubt
I go through town and see the mess the storm made
No one went to work so no ones getting paid
Streets are closed because trees block the ways
Getting through town is like going through a maze
Back to business i need to find electricity
Then i realize that Ang will help me
I finished my homework it was very easy
I think this is a great poem because a lot of people can relate to it. For example, I also lost power and I was worried I couldn't finish my homework either. I'm happy you finished your homework and everything worked out for the best.
